Privacy Notice

This notice explains what details I collect when you get in touch or book, why I need them and how I look after them.

Who I am

Pedro De Sousa Weddings is run by Pedro de Sousa, a wedding photographer based in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire. I'm responsible for the personal details you share with me. You can contact me about anything in this notice at Pds.weddingday@gmail.com or on 07356 203744.

What I collect

  • When you enquire: your names, email, phone number, wedding date, venue, the package or options you've chosen, approximate guest numbers, how you found me and anything you tell me about your day.
  • When you book: the details needed for your contract and payments, and the plans for your day (timings, locations and the people you'd like photographed).
  • On your wedding day: the photographs and films I take of you and your guests.

Why I use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and send you pricing (because you asked me to).
  • To provide the photography or film you've booked and take payments (to perform our contract).
  • To keep accounts and records the law requires me to keep (legal obligation).
  • To show a selection of images in my portfolio and on social media (legitimate interests). If you'd rather your photos weren't shared, just tell me and I won't use them.

I never sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.

Who else handles it

I use a small number of trusted services to run the business: a form service that delivers website enquiries to my inbox, my email provider, an online gallery service to deliver your photos, and my accountant. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.

How long I keep it

If you enquire but don't book, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you book, I keep your contract and payment records for six years for tax purposes. I keep backups of your photos for as long as I reasonably can, so I can help if you ever lose yours, but I can't guarantee to keep them forever.

Cookies and your browser

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The timeline planner and booking pages save your progress in your own browser so you don't lose it; that information stays on your device and isn't sent to me unless you send an enquiry or share a link.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete them, or object to how I use them. Email me and I'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
